615+ people. 30 vendors. One Saturday in Nairobi. Chefs cooked live. Food and drink brands set up. The growers and the chefs putting it on a menu ended up at the same table. Someone called it a family cookout. Someone else said the Insecure block party. Both were right. Thank you to everyone who came, cooked, poured, set up, volunteered, and backed year one before there was anything to point to.
